The user background

The Denver Public Schools serves for students from preschool to high school. The SLPs integrated the Talkido into speech/language sessions with early childhood education (ECE) students to support communication and engagement.

Challenge

The ECE students with challenges of identification, discrimination and practicing on speech production.The SLPs looked for a way to aid the areas as follow:

Vocabulary expansion
Functional communication
Encourage interactions and requesting

How was Talkido implemented?

The student requests a 'hat' to participate in birthday 'pin the hat on the smiley' cotreat activity and used the Talkido Mio to interact in the activity. She uses the Mio to show her physical and emotional reactions and feelings.
