Success Stories

Hear fromTalkidoers

See how Talkido is being used across homes, therapy and learning environments in everyday life.

“My son has so much fun with Talkido! He usually doesn’t repeat what I say, but when Talkido plays, he repeats it. He’s actually started using words that he hears from Talkido. We’re really happy with his progress, can’t decide what to teach next.”

Ally T.

Dad

“We use Talkido during story time, and it works wonders for kiddos who usually aren’t interested in books. They really enjoy it! They play with the books, listen to the words, and start repeating them. It’s been an amazing way to make reading fun and engaging.”

Amanda F.

Executive DirectorPrinceton Child Development Center

"After I programmed the Talkido Mio, there were many ways to implement it, and my student loved interacting with it, which significantly increased engagement.”

Brenna L.

FAQ

What age is Talkido for?

Talkido is designed for children ages 3 and up who are building early speech, language, and communication skills, including late talkers, preschoolers, and children with speech delays or autism. It works well for children who learn best through hands-on, play-based interaction, and for children learning a second language, since you can record words and phrases in any language your family speaks. Talkido tags contain small parts and are not suitable for children under 3.

Is Talkido only for autistic children or children with communication needs?

No. Talkido was designed to support a wide range of children developing speech, language, and communication skills. It can be used by neurotypical children as well as autistic children and children with speech delays, developmental delays, or other communication needs.

Does Talkido replace AAC or speech therapy?

No. Talkido is not designed to replace your child’s AAC system, speech therapist, or other professional support. Instead, it complements them by creating more opportunities for naturalistic language learning, helping children practice communication through play, daily routines, and real-life interactions.

How is Talkido different from a sound book, flash cards, or a tablet app?

Talkido is designed to move language learning beyond a screen or a fixed set of words. You can personalize what your child hears, create your own cards and tags, attach tags to real objects, and use Talkido during play, meals, routines, outings, and everyday interactions.
