How many cards and tags can Mio recognize?
Mio can store up to 5,000 cards and tags, far more than any family will need. You can add new ones from our store anytime, and reuse customizable tags as your child's vocabulary grows.
Does the app work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. The Talkido app is available on iOS/iPadOS and Android. One adult account can manage the content for your child's Mio.
How long does the battery last, and how do I charge it?
A full charge lasts about 10 days of typical use. Mio charges with the included charging cable in about 5 hours.
What if my child puts the cards or tags in their mouth or chews on them?
Talkido products are designed with children in mind, but cards and tags are not intended to be chew toys. If your child frequently mouths or chews objects, we recommend supervised use and checking the cards and tags regularly for damage. Talkido tags contain small parts and are not suitable for children under 3.
My child throws everything. Will Mio survive?
Mio is designed for everyday use with children and can handle normal bumps and drops. Like any electronic device, though, it is not indestructible. We recommend using it with supervision if your child frequently throws objects.
Is there a warranty on Mio? What happens if it stops working?
Yes. Mio comes with a 1-year warranty. If your Mio stops working because of a manufacturing or hardware defect within the first year, we replace it with a brand-new device, no repairs and no waiting. Our support team is available on weekdays from 9 AM to 6 PM ET and can help you with any issue, in or out of warranty. For full details, see our Warranty & Safety page.
