The user background

The Denver Public Schools serves for students from preschool to high school. The SLPs integrated the Talkido into speech/language sessions to support language communication engagement.

Challenge

The students with challenges of identification, discrimination and practicing on speech production.The SLPs looked for a way to aid the areas as follow:

Answering WH questions
Auditory discrimination

How was Talkido implemented?

The Talkido has been implemented to answering WH questions with DIY cards.

The DIY cards are programmed with speech sounds and the student is asked to find the right picture.

When the picture has been found with Mio, the student is again asked to describe with couple of words or sentence.

Outcomes

Personalized Joyful Activities

Recording audio for individual DIY cards made the interaction more unique.

Endless Possibilities

Creating numerous games and methods widens the possible interactions.
