Eden II Programs is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with autism throughout their lives by providing a range of services rooted in applied behavior analysis.
When the students were working on the register and needed help scanning or counting money, the clinician modeled asking for help using Talkido.
The Talkido cards were used with written prompts to show the students how to ask for help.
The verbalizations from the Talkido were paired with students’ verbal speech to increase the clarity of their messages.
Various cards were pre-programmed with phrases used during interactions such as “Do you need a bag?”, “Have a nice day!” etc.
Supporting Communication Skills
The auditory feedback increased the student’s functional communication skill.
High Adaptability
The variety of speech and language tasks can be adapted by Talkido.
"Talkido serves as a verbal prompt for the student and fades clinician’s verbal prompt. The auditory feedback happened to increase functional communication skills. I like that Talkido can be used for a variety of speech and language tasks."
